Details: These pictures were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 100 digital PC-Card camera, and transferred directly to the Web from an Apple Macintosh PowerBook 2400/G3. The pictures are compressed by the camera about 20:1 using JPEG. Unfortunately, this creates some "contouring" (color-banding) artifacts in some pictures that can't be avoided. For best results, view with your monitor set to thousands or millions of colors (the dithering doesn't look very good at only 256 colors).
